Catalyst Church

Multiplying relationships, growth, & influence

Dan

Well, I grew up not all that far from Pendleton, in Noblesville, & later left the state to go to Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL. After my last semester on campus, my wife & I moved back here & began seeking what God was calling us to do next. After what seemed like an eternity, even though it was only a few months, God moved in a clear way. He called us both east.

In the fall of 2009, I met with Pastor Chris & talked about my passion to the see God’s kingdom grow, specifically through church planting. After talking over a coffee (for me) & Mountain Dew (for Chris) for at least an hour & a half, he asked if I would like to join the Catalyst staff team. To which I eagerly said yes.

Now, what I do around Catalyst is where things start to get a little tricky. While Chris has a clearly defined role of Lead Pastor, where he leads Catalyst in accomplishing the mission & vision. My role is, well, let’s say not so clear. Being the Associate Pastor of such a young church means that I get to be involved in almost everything that goes on at Catalyst, & at this point in my life, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My responsibilities around Catalyst are very wide-spread; they range from graphic/web design & maintenance to video production, & from teaching (on occasion) to heading up a Monday night Bible study for adults with developmental disabilities, plus co-leading the creative arts team with Brad Brickley (the Worship Arts Director) & quite a bit more in between.

As for what I do in my free time, I spend most of it with my wife, Kristin. We were married in October 2007, & while we don’t have any kids yet, we do have a dog & a cat that we pretty much treat like children. We enjoy watching movies, sharing meals with friends & cooking. Music is also a big part of my life, & there is rarely a time during the day when I don’t have some U2, Foo Fighters, Lifehouse, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, or some other music (including some good ol’ Frank Sinatra) playing, probably louder than it should be.

Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by, see you around.
