At Catalyst we love your kids. We think connecting with them and guiding them in first steps in their journey with God are just as important as the steps you are taking, and that’s why we’ve developed five great age-appropriate environments your kids will love. These environments range from infant to 8th grade.
These environments are high energy and will engage your children with the reality that we are part of God’s ongoing work in the world. We’ll look at what the Bible has to say to each of us, and there will be hands on activities that all kids will enjoy.
One of the things you may be wondering as you share your kids with us each weekend is, what philosophy kinda guides what and how you’re teaching in each age range? Great questions.
Here are the guiding statements and questions that direct our teaching and teaching style in each of our Kidz venues…
Infant/toddler/preschool
God made me, God loves me, who is Jesus?
Elementary
Introduction to the Bible: Who are the main characters,
what are the big principles,
and where do I find the big stuff and the big stories in this giant book?
I can trust God, I can make wise decisions.
Big time values of the bible: forgiveness, wisdom, etc.
S.T.E.P.S. Middle School Movement (MSM)
I can have a relationship with God.
My identity is best defined by how Jesus sees me.
I can be active in demonstrating God’s love to others.
We really love music at Catalyst, so your kids will engage with a lot of great songs each weekend and even some of the same songs that we sing in the main auditorium too.
We also believe that safety for our children is of the utmost importance. That is why all of the volunteers in all of our kids’ environments are trained and background-checked. We commit to providing a safe place where you and your kids can experience God in new ways.
